The World's 1st cream for 2nd day soreness.
Made for everyday athletes and gym goers. If you're someone who moves and lifts as part of your lifestyle, we made this for you.
DOMS Defence™ is a smart-recovery topical cream.
It uses smart-delivery pathways to deliver beneficial ingredients through the skin to support post-training comfort fast.
It's made for the soreness that comes the day after:
- trying out that new Pilates studio,
- that park run on Saturday,
- that Crossfit WOD,
- any flipping leg day,
- that new gym class
- that school sports carnival,
- that triathlon training session,
- that footy game
- that weekend cricket match,
- that netball game,
- that pole dance class (you naughty, naughty girl)
- that social tennis match,
- that sneaky golf game,
- and the other ones that we've missed.
If you're our people, you know what we're talking about.
DOMS is the acronym for Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness, aka 2nd-day-soreness.
Here is what makes our DOMS Defence so special and why you need it in your recovery ritual:
1. Menthol – the instant “ahhh”
Menthol is that first cool rush when you rub the cream in – like turning a fan on for your muscles after a big set. It helps distract your brain from the ache so you feel ready to move again, not just lie on the gym floor.
2. Vanillyl Butyl Ether (VBE) – slow burn, long vibe
VBE is the quiet achiever that brings the gentle warmth a few minutes after the menthol cool. Think of it as a low‑and‑slow heat pack built into your cream, keeping things toasty without the chilli burn.
3. Kunzea – Aussie bush muscle buddy
Kunzea is a native Australian plant oil that smells like fresh bushland after rain. It’s been used traditionally for tight joints and sore muscles, so we borrowed it for post‑leg‑day life support.
4. Plai – Thai fight‑night root
Plai comes from the ginger family and has a long history in Thai massage for bumps, bruises and sore bits. In your cream, it’s like having a tiny Muay Thai massage therapist working on your quads after squats.
5. PEA – the calm‑things‑down molecule
PEA (palmitoylethanolamide) is a fatty molecule your own body makes when tissues are annoyed and inflamed. Adding extra on the skin is like sending in extra “chill out” signals to cranky post‑workout muscles.
6. Arnica – bruise whisperer
Arnica is a classic sports‑rub ingredient used for years on bruises and banged‑up areas. We use it to help your “I walked into the dumbbell rack again” moments look and feel a bit less dramatic.
7. Magnesium – the muscle unclencher Magnesium is famous as a “relax” mineral for tight muscles. On the skin, it’s there to back up the cool‑then‑warm combo and help your calves stop acting like rocks after hill sprints.
8. Lime Oil - Helping the cleanup crew
Lime essential oil contains compounds like linalool and esters that can have relaxing and analgesic effects. In massage studies it helped athletes recover from DOMS faster and reduced muscle pain. Inside the muscle recovery zone it helps:
• relax tissue
• support circulation
• assist waste clearance after exercise
Basically, it helps the cleanup crew move the junk out of sore muscle tissue.
9. The whole squad together
First, you get cool, then gentle warmth, while the botanicals and PEA are quietly working in the background. It’s basically a recovery ritual in a tube: rub on, feel the switch flick from “wrecked” to “ready to move again.”
What’s actually happening when you get sore muscles after training?
You smash a workout.Inside your muscles, tiny fibres have micro-tears, immune cells show up, and inflammatory signals start firing.
That’s what creates DOMS — delayed onset muscle soreness.
DOMS Defence™ works by helping calm that whole cellular circus.
The DOMS Defence™ recovery stack:
First: Cooling nerve signals
Then: Gentle warmth and circulation
Then: Inflammation calming at the cellular level while your body rebuilds stronger muscle fibres.
So tomorrow…you’re not walking like a baby giraffe after leg day.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
After training, rub onto the muscles you normally feel soreness in.
You will feel a cooling sensation followed by heat as the actives go to work. The heat can last anywhere from 30minutes to 3 hours, depending on the individual. If you apply the cream and then go into the sauna, the skin you applied it to may also appear sunburnt red, similar to the renowned 'Niacin (B3 vitamin) flush'. This will subside - time varies with each individual.
We recommend patch testing on a small area first. DOMS Defence™ is made with clean, natural ingredients, but that doesn't mean there won't be someone who has an allergy to something.
Pro tip: Avoid private areas of the body as the skin is more sensitive there. We have been advised by our users that you will have a hot arse (in the literal sense), a ring of fire (use your imagination) and your intimate area will be on fire (but not through lust or desire).
DO NOT EAT OR INGEST. This is for topical use. Not for human consumption.
